The company was founded in 1900 as Philips Machinefabrieken. We now have more than 100 years’ experience of developing and manufacturing advanced production equipment.

With the growth of Philips’ activities in the Science & Industry sector, the company developed into a production partner for mechatronic systems. Relationships with current OEM companies such as ASML and Philips Healthcare date from this Philips period.

Philips Machinefabrieken developed into a global player offering integrated solutions to Philips and other customers internationally.

The company name was changed to Philips Enabling Technologies Group.

VDL Groep, which consists of many operating companies, took over the company. VDL Enabling Technologies Group continued its development with support from a financially powerful parent, VDL Groep.
