The works council of VDL ETG T&D is looking for new members! Would you like to contribute ideas, participate in discussions, and help make decisions on a wide range of matters within our company over the next three years? Then become a member of the works council! Anyone can apply, provided they meet the requirements listed under "What do you bring?". It doesn't matter what position you have, how old you are or what education you have followed. Are you the committed colleague we are looking for?

What will you do?

The Works Council contributes to discussions on important topics within VDL ETG T&D. Think of working conditions, safety, working hours and changes in the organization and the working atmosphere. Together with your fellow Works Council members, you will consult with management about this and represent all colleagues of VDL ETG T&D. The tasks within the Works Council are divided over different committees that focus on a specific theme. A list of all committees can be found on the portal page of the Works Council: VDL ETG T&D - Ondernemingsraad-ETG-TnD. Works Council members are usually members of several committees. Within these committees, you will explore specific topics, gather information, and engage with colleagues to be able to give advice to the entire works council.

As an OR member, you are given time within your regular working hours to carry out your OR responsibilities. On average, around 10% of working time is allocated for this purpose. The actual time commitment varies throughout the year, depending on the topics being addressed and your role within the OR (for example, serving as Chair typically requires a greater time commitment).

What do you bring?

It doesn't matter what your position, age or educational background is; enthusiasm and commitment are much more important. We are looking for candidates from different backgrounds, from different locations and with different positions. However, it is important that you want to make enough time available to really make a difference with your Works Council membership. In addition, to apply you must meet one of the following requirements:

• You have been working at VDL ETG for at least 3 months on a VDL contract.
• You have been working at VDL ETG for at least 18 months through a temporary employment or secondment agency.
