We offer high-precision CNC machining for components from shoebox-sized parts to structures up to four metres. With a climate-controlled environment and tightly managed processes, we achieve micrometre-level accuracy. Most milling machines feature turning capabilities, enabling machining of components up to 2.1 metres in diameter, and we operate two WFL turning centres for parts up to 650 mm.

We are capable of measuring and testing everything we produce in house, thanks to our climate-controlled metrology department. This enables detailed statistical analysis of components, providing valuable data for continuous process improvement. We manage the entire supply chain, perform leak testing on components and assemblies, handle full wiring, and carry out comprehensive functional checks to ensure readiness for integration.

We are ISO 3834 certified, which means our welders undergo annual qualification testing. We offer all common welding processes, including MIG, MAG, and TIG, applied to materials such as aluminum, steel, and stainless steel. For cooling lines, we use orbital welding. Repetitive welding steps are executed using semi-automated processes to ensure consistency and quality.

We operate a large, automated wet cleaning system designed to ensure components are cleaned precisely according to predefined process parameters. Depending on the material and its intended application, we carry out both acidic and alkaline cleaning procedures. These processes are carefully controlled to maintain consistency and effectiveness across all batches. Our cleaning processes meet the highest industry standards.

Vacuum brazing is a precise and clean joining process that creates strong, leak-tight joints without flux, ideal for sensitive applications in aerospace, medical, vacuum, and semiconductor industries. At VDL ETG Switzerland, we offer in-house vacuum brazing for materials like stainless steel, copper, and aluminum, supporting our customers with process design and brazing-optimized component engineering.

In our assembly department, we build and functionally test complete modules on behalf of our customers. In our cleanroom assembly, we offer the same full range of services as in our standard assembly including module assembly, wiring, leak testing, and functional checks. With the added capability of assembling components in an ISO Class 6 cleanroom environment.
